Traditional wastewater treatment can turn valuable hydrocarbons into a waste stream requiring costly handling and disposal. Hydraspin takes a different approach.

Using hydrocyclone technology, Hydraspin creates a high-velocity vortex that separates the heavier water phase from lighter oil. The system is designed to remove 95% of 10-micron oil droplets, allowing the recovered oil to be collected. Its decant process can produce approximately 97–98% dry recovered oil for resale or reprocessing.

AHT’s process can produce recovered oil with approximately 2–3% water content, creating an opportunity for the recovered hydrocarbon to be resold or reprocessed.

This changes the economics of wastewater treatment: the objective is no longer simply to remove the contaminant, it is to recover value from it.

Hydramix takes resource recovery further by integrating multiple treatment stages. Free oil is first removed through skimming, followed by Hydraspin separation of emulsified oil droplets. Electrocoagulation then addresses remaining hydrocarbons and emulsions. The result is a treatment technology built around maximum recovery and minimum waste.
